XR is a gourmet sandwich shop with catering. The menu offers house cooked roast beef, turkey, and corned beef. All ground beef is done in house as well. In addition, XR offers scratch made soups, sauces, desserts, and more. This sandwich shop enjoys tons of regulars, and is located in an extremely high foot traffic area. All who visit come back. We have regulars that drive 40, 50+ miles to eat one of our sandwiches. With that said, providing the type of house made, high quality product that we do cripples our food cost. It is the reason we have been flat since we opened. A more typical sandwich shop would make quite a bit of money, but that’s not what I had in mind when I opened. And that’s why I’m selling. No BS. Ask me anything and I will open books, tell you where I think I failed and what I would have done differently, what I’ve learned in the last 3.5 years about the local customers, and why I KNOW this place could kill. An established shop that is expanding would do very well, and a startup with the right formula would also do very well.
