Business Description
Third Generation Branded fast Casual restaurant/bakery business, very well known name, in the Illinois-Missouri region, in existence for over 100 years, since 1922. Excellent location off of Hwy 55 and on Old Rt 66, in a town that is the hub for the area, without all the hassle of a metro area. Town is very pro-business. Business is approximately 75% fast casual food/beverage and 25% bakery, with ordering done at counter. 55% of the whole business is take out - food and bakery and 30% is Drive Thru. Business has an espresso bar and also offers other specialty drinks, such as Lotus, which are very popular. Online ordering is also available. Many items unique to our business on the menu, and are homemade, like bakery, soups, salads, sandwiches, and more. Business holds a big competitive advantage in the area. Breakfast is an important part of the menu. Bakery & Food party tray catering is also available.

POTENTIAL BUYERS FROM METROPOLITAN AREAS: This is a great town and region to do business in. We enjoy excellent support from the community and surrounding area. We have a lot of traffic, lower operating costs, and a much easier way of life. The competitive situation is very good. I would be willing to work with culinary teams that may be interested to work with local investors who would like to see our business stay open after I retire.

Extensive refrigeration and other equipment. Dining room furniture is less than 5 years old. Equipment is all newer and in very good condition. Newer hvac units also. Very large paved parking lot - 57 spaces. Building is just over 4,000 square feet, and property is just under one acre. We have a concrete patio that was added during the pandemic. Also, POS system is fully paid for and in excellent condition.

Current Hours are: Closed Mondays, Tuesday - Saturday - 6 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. Current owner has cut hours in the last few years 36%. This has greatly reduced employee turnover.

Our business is very steady! Also, Holidays are an important part of sales. Not only is seasonal bakery popular, but we offer take home/heat holiday dinners and catering which are very popular.

Owner will train and is willing to be available for ongoing advise, training, questions, etc. This is a very good business!

I would prefer to sit down and have a conversation with serious potential buyers. Please email me to set up a time. This business is very important to the area with awesome employees who need their jobs. This is not a business that can be run remotely. . The financials from the first half of 2025 are now available.

Market Outlook / Competition
Market conditions are currently excellent for this restaurant/bakery. We make the food that people would make if they felt like cooking. We have a very steady customer base of locals, and regulars within a very big radius. People who come thru our area even once a year are sure to stop at our business. Also, much opportunity in our town right now. I have cut our hours and am currently closing at 5 due to my advancing age and labor shortage. There is a lot of demand for us to be open at night.
Opportunities for Growth
See above. There is plenty of room on our property to expand, and plenty of opportunity for a younger person to expand hours.
