Sunshine Dayclean started in 2022 with just me, a mop, a vacuum, and a vision. What began as cleaning a handful of short-term rental properties quickly blossomed into a thriving cleaning and management business. With nearly a decade of experience as a short-term rental host, combined with my expertise in cleaning and hospitality, I knew exactly what property owners needed—and how to provide it.

By 2023, the business expanded, and I brought in my 21-year-old daughter, hoping to pass the company down to her one day. Together, we grew from a small operation into a mother-daughter powerhouse, adding more properties and refining our services. Our dedication to quality, reliability, and efficiency allowed us to scale rapidly, and by 2024, we proudly cleaned 40 short-term rental properties and several residential clients.

As a former school principal and serial entrepreneur, I knew the importance of strong systems, organizational efficiency, and team leadership. These skills became the backbone of Sunshine Dayclean, ensuring our operations ran seamlessly while maintaining the highest standards of service. But beyond business, I had a deeper mission: empowering single women.

Having been a single mother myself, I made a conscious decision to hire other women looking for side work or full-time opportunities. Today, I am proud to have trained and retained 6 skilled independent contractors (1099 cleaners) who bring dedication and excellence to every job.

To ensure smooth operations, I implemented Resort Cleaning, an industry-leading software that integrates scheduling, checklists, property notes, videos, invoicing, reports, and overall management systems for maximum efficiency and accountability.

While I originally planned to pass the business to my daughter, she decided to pursue her own passion instead. Life took me in a different direction, and I am now managing two boutique motels in Idaho Springs.
