Opportunity to own a successful 13-year-old retail fabric, interior design and upholstery business located in most affluent area of Northern Westchester NY. TapeMeasure is an established local brand with a reputation for quality workmanship and large following of repeat customers. We benefit from from being in the center of an upscale town undergoing explosive growth in retail and restaurants that has become a draw for the surrounding areas. TapeMeasure boasts a serene and sophisticated showroom from which we sell design services, fabrics, wallpaper, rugs, custom window treatments (including motorization) and furniture upholstery services. Other offerings include pillows, replacement cushions, custom bedding and custom-made furniture. Our fee and commission-based designed services include in-home consultations, contract room design, renderings and project supervision. Husband and wife owners run the business with one full-time and one part-time employees. Current business hours are 9:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday and Saturday 10:00 to 2:00. Customers are encouraged to submit projects by email and to meet in the studio by appointment. Sales of fabric, wallpaper, and rugs are made from our extensive and curated library of samples and sample books---with the consequence that there is no inventory to maintain. We have long and established trade relations with all the major fabric, wallpaper, rug, lighting and furniture manufacturers. All upholstery work, custom window treatment fabrication, sewing, installation and construction work is performed through our longstanding established network of subcontractors.
