The actual location of Nostalgic Gift & Gallery that houses the working inventory for our clothing brand "Nostalgic Rags" is located just south of Austin, Texas. Many people are moving to Lockhart to get away from the bustle of Austin or other parts of the country. Lockhart has been referred to as the new Marfa, Texas. All kinds of creative types such as artists and musicians and young families are moving to Lockhart for the quality of life that it offers. There are many Mom and Pop shops that line the Arts and Entertainment District.

Nostalgic Gift & Gallery features tees, hats, beanies, patches, stickers, koozies, magnets, bags, incense, candles, coasters, serapes, yoga blankets, pottery, art, jewelry and the list goes on. The store is well curated with vintage light fixtures, antique display cabinets from the turn of the century, custom built wood tables, and antique rod iron chairs with custom cushions for outdoor seating. We have Lockhart's finest record store two doors down and we do a lot of live music just across the street in Eddie's Woodshop. That's right Eddie is a master cabinet maker and he allows us to use his property across the street to feature Lockhart, Austin, Texas, and national touring acts on any given Friday night. We also have First Friday's in Lockhart to help drive traffic through our town's galleries, bars and restaurants every first Friday of the month. In addition, we have Courthouse Nights concert series (monthly) in the summer located just across the street from the beautiful Courthouse that sits right in the middle of the town square. The bands are top tier and everyone brings their blanket or lawn chair and enjoys this amazing free concert series. Last and really important we are "THE BARBECUE CAPITAL OF TEXAS" and have 7 different barbecue restaurants in our town and host the annual Texas Monthly Barbecue Festival. Every November on Saturday we have a huge celebration wrapping around the town square with vendors, free BBQ samples, and live music. On Sunday we have the best pit-masters in Texas cook out at City Park and with a ticket you can go and sample all the barbecue.

Nostalgic Rags (clothing brand) was started by Kati and Jeff Hammett due to the passion they both share for things that are old such as their two 1953 Mercury Monterey mild custom cars, their grandparents antique furniture they grew up with, and music of the past. They are both drawn to the quality and simplicity of a time that has come and gone. Nostalgic Rags is focused on making the highest quality clothing and accessories the market has to offer. We take pride in offering buttery soft fabrics, low residue silkscreen hand feels, and feature iconic, Licensed Partner products available only at Nostalgic Rags Authorized Dealers. We are very blessed to call many local and regional businesses and musicians our friends and feel compelled to give back in anyway we can. Nostalgic Rags is the vehicle to do just that.

Nostalgic Rags also has a second component to the brand now outside the licensed, intellectual art. We now have our own custom art that is selling really well. Included is the following: Local Gringo, Local Chica, God Bless Texas, TEXXAN, Tejas, Don't Mess, and Come and Take It to name a few. Our wholesale brand is sold in gift shops in Austin, Dripping Springs, Lockhart, and Corpus Christi with plenty of room to grow.
