• A business that runs very well with relatively low levels of managing — I run other ventures alongside it
• Two well-maintained traditional wooden lobster boats: The Back & Forth and The Out & About
• Signature experiences that draw loyal fans — from pirate treasure hunts and lobster fishing demos to sunset cruises with lobster rolls
• An outstanding crew we hope will you will keep on
• A trusted partnership with Young’s Lobster Pound
• A brand with a great reputation and deep local roots
If you're a licensed captain, there’s additional earning potential — but you don’t need to be one. We’re not, and we’ve turned a consistent profit with room to grow.
This isn’t a distressed sale. In fact, we almost sold last year, but the buyer rightfully decided it wasn’t the right fit at that point in their life. We respected that completely.

- The Back and Forth dominates the market in and around Belfast, Maine. The nearest competition is Camden Maine (1 hr south) and Bar Harbor (1.45 hrs North). There is a schooner in Belfast that offers day sails but is a very different experience. We know and work with the owner of the business closely to benefit each others companies. Belfast Maine is a tourism hub.

- We currently run at 50-60% of our potential capacity. New energy and an investment into a marketing campaign would boost ticket sales. More staff would be required to deal with this level of operation.
