Lucrative collision repair shop business for sale/lease
Business Description
For anyone that is interested in the auto/truck collision business and would like to own your own shop, this listing is for you. I have a property now for sale that includes the real estate, the equipment, all inventory, supplies and the ability to transfer seamlessly into the world of collision repair. This company has been established in West Virginia since 1968 and was founded by the current owner's father. Thus, it has never been on the market. There is a property brochure attachment with this listing that contains all the pertinent information about this collision repair business located in Winfield, WV. There are also a number of pictures, location descriptions, and an aerial photo of the property.
The facility is located midway between Charleston and Huntington, the two largest metropolitan areas in West Virginia. Access from both areas is easy, and the property itself is highly usable for its purpose. There is room for expanding the facility and for parking vehicles to be worked on. As to the motivation for selling, the owners are retiring. They plan on moving to NC where their children are living. They will make the transition easy. While they are flexible as to price and terms, it must be stated that anyone wishing to purchase must have substantial "skin in the game." They are capable of financing the business purchase, and leasing the real estate with the option to purchase at a later date.
Anyone that is a serious contender for this purchase of this enterprise must have significant experience not only in the body shop industry, but in running a business, as dealing with all the administrative duties including payment of parts, labor, services, etc., is a full time job in itself. The easiest part, it seems, is dealing with the insurance companies.
The reward can be significant. After paying to the owners a rental amount for the real estate and paying the mortgage on the business end of things, serious six figure net incomes can easily (not really easily - there is much work to be done...) be had from this time forward.
Honestly this is a VERY good business that would allow a group of body shop people or someone with financial capabilities to have a great life here in "Wild, Wonderful West Virginia."
As an afterthought, please do not pay any attention to all of the negative press that gets posted about West Virginia. While we do have our problems, as are the other state would, this is a paradise to live in if you happen to be an outdoors person. Our natural beauty is unsurpassed by any other state overall in the union. We have hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, mountain climbing, rock climbing and now, the biggest tourism industry that's ever been in our state, off the road vehicle riding on the 1000 miles of dedicated tram roads in our southern West Virginia coalfield. For instance, last year, they sold 90,000 permits for people to come in and ride our trails on four wheelers and ATVs. And don't forget Whitewater rafting. We have the best in the East.
This is a great state to live in and you can tell I'm prejudiced as I was born here, went off to school and came back to Charleston, and have been a practicing real estate professional for 53 years. I've seen everything come and go. If you are interested in a very wonderful enterprise in a beautiful area, please contact me and come and look at this place.
