The business specializes in used auto parts for European car models, more specifically Mercedes Benz parts. They are set up to be more of a used parts store rather than a salvage yard or as others would call it a junkyard . The inventory comes from vehicles that have been written off by insurance companies due to accidents, water damage, vandalism etc.. which they purchase through a bidding process from various insurance auto auctions nationwide.

Once a vehicle has been purchased and delivered to the business, they would inspect it and record any important info such as miles and condition of some of the more valuable parts that canbe visually seen, then the vehicle goes through the dismantling process and all parts are removed/inspected/tested/cleaned and then photographed to be introduced into the inventory.

All the parts that make it to inventory have assigned shelf space inside the 10000 square foot warehouse where they are stored until they are sold. Any parts that are damaged or non-sellable are separated by which can be recycled for precious metals or if it is plastic they dispose of it when the car chassis/shell is recycled by simply putting them back inside the floor of the empty car shell. then the shell is recycled at metal recycling which is within 10 minutes from the business location.

Most of the business is online, from buying cars to be dismantled to selling the auto parts. The amount of online sales to local sales it would be 90% online and 10% local. They have a large eBay store where all of the inventory gets listed for sale and it is very easy to be found by customers. Once an item has been sold, they pull it off the shelf, package it and ebay offers a very easy way of purchasing shipping labels through USPS/FedEx/UPS if there are larger items such as engines/transmissions etc.. they would palettize them and ship freight with a freight carrier company that they have an account with and have worked with for many years.
