“Forty-two years after my husband's last visit here, he insisted we had to stop and have lunch here. He used to come here when visiting his buddy at Cal Poly. He told me they had great sandwiches back in 1971 and the Californian was still on the menu, so we ordered. He said it was as good as it was 42 years ago. I enjoyed my meal, as we sat inside the quaint, but very clean seating area. If we pass through this way again, we will eat here. Very nice break from driving.
