Our coaches (tutors) cultivate fundamental skills and strategies that promote lifelong learning, allowing students to achieve both academic and personal excellence. Our approach emphasizes critical thinking and connecting topics for effective learning.


Elements of Cognitive Learning:

1) Comprehension: Building cognitive learning skills teaches students how to learn new information more effectively. Students learn to do more than repeat what they have learned. They understand the “why” behind a topic and how it fits into a larger picture.


2) Memory: Unlike drill-and-kill memorization methods, cognitive learning helps students better understand a subject. This improves recall in the long run, so students can build upon past knowledge.


3) Application: The cognitive learning approach allows students to reflect on their learning and how it applies to other material. This helps students develop problem-solving skills they need to create new connections between what they have learned in the past and what they are about to learn.


Additionally, we supplement the educational aims of homeschool or homeschool cooperatives, further cementing our commitment to promoting a well-rounded academic experience. We also work with Little Readers (preschool age) all the way through University Prep and even provide SAT/ACT assistance for remedial advancement to enrichment programs, all with a 3:1 student to coach ratio.
