Scott Smith is a seasoned entrepreneur, consultant, and former educator with a diverse professional background that uniquely positions him to guide business owners through the buying and selling process. A native of Pennsylvania and graduate of Allegheny College with a B.S. in Physics, Scott began his career as a Biomedical Engineer before transitioning into product management and operations roles in the manufacturing sector.

His journey has included leadership roles in academia as Assistant Director of a university-based center for manufacturing and operations management, as well as a decade-long career as a collegiate baseball coach at three universities.

After relocating to the Pittsburgh area, Scott founded and operated a publishing company for 14 years before successfully selling it. He later worked in the defense consulting space and launched a second publishing business focused on serving business owners—growing and exiting that venture in 2024.

Scott brings decades of real-world experience in entrepreneurship, business operations, and strategic exits to his role as a Business Broker with Transworld Business Advisors. He is passionate about helping business owners achieve their goals and maximize value in their transitions.
