Grew up and attend college in Minnesota. Worked for a dozen years or so after college mainly in the construction industry before deciding on a whim (really it was my wife's idea) to move to Alaska. Stuffed everything we could fit into a 6X12 travel trailer (the kids were NOT stuffed into the trailer) and moved to Anchorage without a job, without knowing a soul in the state and without ever even visiting Alaska. Fell in love immediately with everything Alaska has to offer. Took a couple of jobs working for corporate America before deciding enough is enough and started the first of a handful of companies I would later sell.
