Introduction
Buddy Carp is the President of Squizzero, Carp & Associates. He is an experienced Business Broker and Commercial Real Estate Broker. Buddy has over 30 years' experience building, buying, operating and selling businesses. He is an expert negotiator and is skilled in all aspects of business sales. Buddy focuses his time and energies working directly with clients. Having been a long-time business owner (and seller) himself, Buddy understands the difficult decision-making process owners go through, when deciding whether or not to sell. Is this the right time? How do I keep the sale confidential? What is my business worth? For many, it is helpful to discuss these very important issues with somebody who has been through a similar experience. In addition, since it is so critical to the decision-making process, Buddy provides business owners with a no-charge, no obligation Brokers Opinion of Value (BOV), which is the most likely selling price the business would sell for should it be presented for sale.
Buddy's other business experience includes fifteen years in the retail liquor industry where he was named Retailer of the Year for the state of Massachusetts. Throughout his tenure in the industry, Buddy transformed a fledgling retail store into one of the top five chains in the state. Buddy was also a long-time Board member and past President of the Massachusetts Package Store Association.
Prior to working in the liquor industry, Buddy was the Co-Founder and President of New World Technologies, a computer company recognized by INC magazine as the sixth fastest growing privately held company in America. In addition, through his consulting firm, Buddy has and continues to work with numerous start-ups and established businesses, offering assistance with operations, marketing, financing, mergers and acquisitions.
