Broker Biography
Introduction
Robbins Pellegrino is a Florida-based business brokerage focused on Main Street and lower middle market deals. Most of the businesses we work with are valued somewhere north of $1.5M.
The firm exists for a pretty straightforward reason. Deals fall apart all the time—and usually not because there wasn’t interest. It’s usually bad expectations, messy financials, or things breaking down once a lender or attorney gets involved. That’s the gap we try to close.
We don’t treat valuation as a guessing exercise. Our Broker’s Opinions of Value are built around what buyers are actually paying and what lenders are actually willing to support. Those are not always the same thing. We’ll often run numbers by lenders before anything goes to market just to make sure it holds up under real scrutiny. If it doesn’t, it gets fixed early.
From there, it’s a process game.
We stay very close to the moving parts—buyers, sellers, lenders, attorneys. A lot of brokers step back once there’s interest. That’s usually when things start to unravel. We do the opposite. We’re in the middle of it, coordinating, pushing, smoothing things out. Sometimes that’s negotiating. Sometimes it’s just making sure people are talking to each other when they should be.
The goal is simple: get the deal to the closing table. Cleanly.
We work with experienced buyers who have done this before. We also work with people buying a business for the first time. Those are very different conversations. Both are fine. The approach just changes.
Robbins Pellegrino was co-founded by Joe Pellegrino. His background isn’t just brokerage—it’s marketing, software, deal sourcing. That tends to show up in how businesses are positioned and how buyers are approached. There’s a practical angle to it.
At the end of the day, we’re not trying to make a deal look good on paper. We’re trying to make sure it actually closes.
