As Owner & Broker of Restaurant eXchange, I consult with Sellers on pricing and valuation, including how to maximize the marketability of their businesses. I assist Sellers through the complex process of transferring ownership, which can include facilitating the lease transfer, liquor license transfer, franchise approval, buyer financing, and escrow processes. I also help Buyers to realize their goal of business ownership by matching their skills and resources with available businesses and helping them through all of the steps leading to a successful sale closing. I take great care to make sure each party is fully supported through the sale process and transition of the business to new ownership.
I came to Sacramento in 1989, as a Captain in the Air Force (Chief of Budget & Financial Analysis for Mather AFB). After 9 years of service, following the base closure in 1993, I started my career as a general Business Broker, selling all types of small businesses including restaurants. I saw the need for a specialist to better serve the food and beverage industry, and therefore created Restaurant eXchange in 2000. I have now over 25 years of contacts within the restaurant industry. It is a great joy to have helped so many people achieve their dreams of owning their own restaurant, and many of my clients come back to me for exit planning when they are ready to retire.
