Sheriff was born in Cairo, Egypt but was raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The eldest of four sons, Sheriff was a precocious child, accomplished athlete and model student who grew up aspiring to a degree in medicine. In college, Sheriff’s career aspirations shifted from medicine to law, a field more suited to his outgoing, vivacious personality. After receiving his law degree from Detroit College of law, he moved to Florida and began his real estate career. Sheriff opened up his own real estate firm and was affiliated with Prudential Real Estate Affiliates for over 30 years as the only franchisee in Volusia County. Sheriff has had a remarkable career in both residential and commercial real estate. He brokered the first million-dollar-plus home sale back in the 1980’s and has continued compiling a resume which includes two home sales in excess of $5 million each and over 30 residential transactions in excess of one million dollars. The waterfront property in the greater Daytona Beach area is peppered with homes and commercial projects Sheriff has facilitated the purchase and/or sale of.
