Introduction

Mr. Starfield has been an entrepreneur and consultant with experience in companies both large and small. As a consultant in Cape Town, South Africa he worked with large multi-division businesses. Then in Boston, MA with C.W. Downer & Co. (now Alantra), an independent, global boutique firm, Mr. Starfield worked on mid-market M&A projects.

He has owned and franchised a chain restaurant operation; sandwich and cheesecake restaurants and a disc and USB duplicating business.

He has continued his consulting work with Community Action Partners, a volunteer organization of Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School alumni helping Boston-area nonprofits apply management skills to their business challenges. His CAP projects have included the USS Constitution Museum, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, The Food Project and the Peabody Essex Museum.
