David has spent most of his life living in Minnesota. Over the years, he has developed a strong understanding of the Minnesota marketplace. While in his senior year at St. Cloud State University he secured his first SBA loan and built a car wash and detail shop which opened in the fall of 1986. He then graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He sold his first business in 1995 and secured his second SBA loan to buy an auto repair business. Not being a mechanic, he had to quickly learn the ins and outs of the industry. After 9 years and a successful run of growth, he sold the repair business in 2004. From there he went on to be a growth consultant for other repair shops before joining Murphy in 2014. David’s real life education in entrepreneurship brings a wealth of usable value to current business owners who are looking to grow, turn around, or exit their business. He loves business and helping people achieve their dreams. His experience makes him an excellent choice to help your business in whichever direction you’re moving. David lives in the St. Cloud area with his wife of 29 years. He is an avid hunter who loves getting outside with his dogs. He also enjoys woodworking, boating, traveling, and spending as much time with his friends and family as possible.
