Introduction
Steve Fylypchuk brings 25 plus years of domestic and international business experience in various fields including information technology, retailing, hospitality, real estate investment, and sales to Murphy Business & Financial Corporation. He understands the issues facing both business buyers and sellers having bought and successfully sold his own businesses in the past. His experience ranges from owning his own retail store to leading an ERP implementation team in a 200-person organization. Steve has also been investing in real estate since 1988 and has developed a keen understanding of the real estate market.
In 2003 Steve became a franchisee with Wine Kitz Franchise Inc., the only national winemaking retail franchise in Canada. He accomplished a successful 10 years with Wine Kitz achieving Top Performer status for the last eight years and worked closely with the franchisor on the Franchise Advisory Committee. Having experience in both purchasing an existing franchise business and starting a new franchise operation, Steve is uniquely qualified to advise clients in either situation.
Steve earned his Certified Business Intermediary (“CBI”) designation from the International Business Brokers Association in 2014 and his Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Professional (CM&AP) designation from Kennesaw State University in 2023. He has since been awarded the IBBA’s Outstanding Producer Award four years in a row and the Canadian Consumer Choice Award for Best Business Broker in Southern Alberta for the last four years. Past and present affiliations include the M&A Source, IBBA, Chamber of Commerce, BNI, and Toastmasters International.

Steve received his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Alberta with a concentration in Finance in 1993. He is from Calgary, Alberta where he lives with his wife.
