About the Company
Stewart Guthrie is the Co-Owner of The Liberty Group of Nevada, a premier business brokerage firm he operates alongside his wife and business partner, Kathryn Guthrie. With over two decades of entrepreneurial and sales experience, Stewart specializes in business sales, valuations, and exit planning, helping business owners successfully transition their businesses. He holds the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation from the International Business Brokers Association and is a licensed real estate broker.
Stewart’s career began in service and sales. From 1990 to 1995, he served in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) before transitioning into a successful sales career across a variety of industries, including heavy equipment, phone systems, and telephone/data infrastructure. His sales expertise laid the foundation for his entrepreneurial journey, equipping him with strong negotiation, client relations, and business development skills.
In 2004, Stewart and Kathryn purchased their first business—a coffee distribution company—which they successfully grew and sold in 2008. They then co-founded RPM Sac-Metro, a residential property management firm, in 2009, scaling it into a thriving business before exiting in 2019. In 2021, Stewart and Kathryn took the helm of The Liberty Group of Nevada, where they now help business owners buy, build, and sell their businesses with confidence and success.
