Lex is an exceptional strategic addition to our team; he brings a deep repertoire of experience in both business brokerage and business leadership. After founding his first company at 14, he has spent the last 28 years either growing businesses, buying them or selling them. He is one of the few brokers in the U.S. that has both a deep understanding of the brokerage process & over 14 years of experience growing and building franchises from the ground up, making him an ideal fit for both routine business exits and franchise resales.
Lex also founded and built one of the highest volume business brokerages on the East Coast before successfully selling it to pursue heightened activity in the franchising world.
His undying passion for "the deal" has consistently helped sellers exit their businesses quickly and on the most seller-friendly terms possible. Kristine Tonkonow is a strategic business and operations executive with extensive experience leading high-growth food and beverage operations, specialty manufacturing, and entrepreneurial ventures. She is a former business owner who spent over a decade building and scaling a food CPG company from a kitchen startup to a nationally distributed brand, successfully exiting in 2025. From her hands-on experience and own personal insight, Kristine understands all the intricate parts of a business and can quickly assess value drivers, identify risks, and help position businesses for a successful sale. Experiencing the sale of her own company gave her a deep understanding of exactly what owners need from an intermediary and how to guide a deal to the finish line.
