Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. I’m passionate about helping business owners succeed, and I have the experience to back it up. I started my first business at age 11, and since then, I’ve been part of five start-up ventures. Today, I own First Choice Business Brokers of the Triangle. As a small business owner myself, I understand the hard work and dedication it takes to succeed. Whether you’re buying or selling a business, I’ll guide you through the process to ensure the best possible outcome.
With over 35 years of experience in start-ups, valuing businesses, selling products & services, and customer relations, I am a creative problem solver with a proven track record of success in negotiating win-win business relationships. An Air Force veteran and an Eagle Scout, I hold an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and a master’s degree in business administration. The common thread throughout my career has been innovative dealmaking, benefiting all parties.
Specializing in helping small and medium-sized business-owners find buyers when they are ready to sell their businesses, my deep understanding of the business sale process helps sellers find the right buyer and buyers find the right purchase. Happily married to my wife for 24 years, we have a middle-school-age daughter, a son in college, and a very friendly dog. When not helping my clients, I enjoy playing golf, skiing, attending college basketball and football games, theater, and volunteering with our son’s Scout Troop and our daughter’s school.
