Dean has worked, managed, or owned businesses in several different industries including retail, financial services, wholesale distribution, home service, and consulting. He has served on various boards including the Bethel Park Jaycees, International Sleep Products Association, and Peters Township Baseball Association. Dean lives in the South Hills with his wife Lisa and their sons Dylan, Ian, and Patrick. He enjoys spending time with family, coaching youth baseball, and when time allows, fishing or golfing.
