About the Company

WHAT MAKES DUNES ADVISORS THE RIGHT CHOICE

Attention to Detail:
Most of you have experienced the old "If you want it done right" saying. You're not going to be handed off to a new Agent or a "Team", where the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. From placing ads to closing escrow, my approaching 30 years of transactional experience directly benefits you.

Real Life Experience:
The adage "You can't really understand another person's experience until you've walked a mile in their shoes." Rings true when representing business and commercial property owners. From breeding and selling tropical fish when I was 13 to managing inventory for a hundred million dollar plus retail empire, I’ve felt the pain and reaped the rewards. When I’m working with clients and say “I understand what you’re going through” I really mean it!

Full Range of Services:
Representation of Business owners and buyers large and small, representation of Commercial Property Owners and buyers large and small, lease negotiation and representation for tenants and landlords in the commercial sector, estimation of values, exit planning and more. If we can’t handle it, we’ll help you find someone who can.

Confidentiality:
At or near the top of concerns of every business owner when contemplating a sale. How do I keep the sale a secret? I don’t want my employees to know. Notice some of our competitors actually use the business name and pictures in ads on the internet or put a sign in the window! With planning and experience our track record of keeping everything confidential is superb.

Transactional Experience:
Since 1997 I’ve personally handled over 700 transactions and overseen another 500+ as the Broker of Record. What does this mean for a client? Almost every situation you can encounter, I’ve already encountered. Clients get comfort knowing I’ve seen it all.

Broker Biography

Introduction

“Mommy when I grow up, I wanna be a business broker!” Never has any child uttered those words as they walked by the local broker’s office, pressed their face up against the window, and dreamed of taking their first listing.

I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was 12: I proudly sold fish to pet stores that I bred in my bedroom. Since then, my entrepreneurial spirit led me to resell 5.25” floppy disks in bulk, sell NASCAR merchandise at a retail popup, and renovate motorhomes (which I expanded to 3 locations before it was acquired).

In 1997, I was on the hunt to buy a business, and was taken aback by the state of the profession. The brokers I met lacked professionalism and transparency, consistently provided inaccurate information and utilized no technology. I walked away from each experience feeling like I had narrowly escaped death-by-sleazy-used-car-salesman. I realized that I was more fascinated with how businesses function and more interested in analyzing financials than actually purchasing a business. I knew I could serve clients better and execute at a higher level. The rest, as they say, is history.

700+ transactions later I can say if it’s out there, I’ve probably sold one; I’ve helped hundreds of people buy and sell businesses. I continue helping clients today. There is no better feeling than when you have the answer that helps your client. It’s why for 26+ years, every time I say, “I’m just going to the office for a few minutes.”, my wife looks me squarely in the face, rolls her eyes, and says “Yes dear”.

When I get a moment in the off hours where I’m not helping my two adult children, wife or the extended family, I like to swim, hike, play pickleball and basketball or simply watch the sunset from my patio. You can also catch me at the local animal shelter, making sure there are enough blankets to keep all those dogs looking for a forever home warm.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling a business, commercial property or you need help planning your future exit of your business, reach out to me before you make your first move. It’s my goal to ensure you’re well informed and have great representation before you start to navigate the process. Email, call, or connect with me on LinkedIn!

Services Provided

Small to Mid-size businesses are the backbone of the American economy, actively bought and sold daily. Drive down any street in any town, and I’ve probably sold every type of business you see: restaurants, car washes, franchises, professional services, flower shops, retail, etc. Wander into a commercial complex, and I’ve probably sold those type of businesses too! I have experience across the board: manufacturing, wholesale, technology, service and much more. I’ve either personally sold or been the managing Broker of over 1000 transaction in my 25+ year career.
Here’s what I can do for you:

• Evaluate the marketability of your business. I will confidentially tour your facility, review the financials, and determine how marketable it may be. I can then help price the business at its' proper value. I have a vast database of prior sales, industry comps and current market conditions that help us accurately target Buyers for your business type.

• Develop a comprehensive information package including a snapshot of your businesses, its’ main attributes, and the growth opportunities.

• Confidentially market your business through our vast database of qualified Buyers, network of cooperating Agents, and top notch Internet marketing.

• Shepherd the business through all aspects of the sale: interview and prequalify Buyers, assist with the preparation and negotiation of Offers, and walk both parties through financing and escrow. I’ll help you navigate the process, avoiding costly mistakes that may delay or derail your deal.

• Guide both parties through their transition in and out of the business.

• For those Business Owners who own the property the business resides in, I can do all the same evaluation, run comps and analyze what right for you.

Don’t wait another day! Let’s setup a confidential consultation; request a call now.
