About the Company
Cygnus Partners was founded in Denver Colorado in 2009 by Greg Higgins, Carole Higgins & Kristina Minor. Currently, the partners are experienced real estate brokers. Carole & Greg established the company's Northern Michigan presence in the Traverse City area in 2012.
As the company grew in Michigan, we discovered a group of under represented and often times un-represented clients- small business owners. We focused increasingly on commercial and investment real estate and the small to mid-sized businesses connected to those properties. Many of these properties and their businesses do not fit neatly into a traditional real estate transaction. Their value can include the operating business, real estate, equipment, licenses, location, and future opportunities—all of which must be understood before the business can be positioned effectively.
Today, Cygnus Partners guides property owners, business owners, and investors through acquisitions, growth, repositioning, and sales. We combine real estate brokerage, business evaluation, market knowledge, and relationships with experienced lending and professional partners to help clients make informed decisions and move confidently into their next chapter.

Introduction
Personally I have been a real estate broker for 23 years. I have worked in most aspects of the industry but I prefer to invest my time and energy in the commercial sector. I am well versed in evaluating commercial space- its current state and its potential. My heart is with small business owners whose businesses are overlooked and under-evaluated by many of my peers. I want to help these owners accomplish their goals- small or large from inception through growth and to retirement and sales.

At its heart, Cygnus is a real estate brokerage. Most of our partners and brokers have college backgrounds across a diverse range of subjects. Those backgrounds strengthen the critical thinking we bring to each transaction. We also took it upon ourselves to learn how to evaluate small businesses and developed relationships with lending and business partners who can offer informed opinions and assist with financing when needed.
We offer broker representation of both sellers and buyers of commercial property, investment property, small to mid size businesses, with or without their real property. In support of both buyers and sellers, we also engage in commercial leasing- generally speaking as an agent of the property owner. Our experience allows us to guide investors and business owners through the full lifecycle of ownership—from acquisition and growth to sale and retirement.
